Terms of Service
These terms apply when you play Tank Tyrant (the game, its servers, its website tanktyrant.com and its Discord server). Tank Tyrant is made by Simon's Game Studio (SGS), registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) in the Netherlands ("we"). By playing you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you buy through Steam (later also the App Store or Google Play), that store's own terms apply to the payment as well.
1. Who can play
- You may play if you are old enough under the law of your country to use online games, or with permission of a parent or guardian.
- Purchases with real money are for players aged 18 or older (or with permission of a parent or guardian where the law allows it). The spending limit for minors is €0.
2. Your account
- Your account is personal. Do not share, sell or trade it, and keep your key safe. You are responsible for what happens with your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in the game (Settings → Privacy → Delete account).
3. The alpha and beta
- Tank Tyrant is in development. Things change, break and get rebalanced; servers can be offline.
- Progress made during the alpha and beta is reset once, at the real release: gear, Credits, Tyrium, tanks and ranks go back to zero. The Alpha set, the Beta sets and the Founder pack stay.
4. Tyrium, Credits and other items
- Tyrium, Credits, tokens, modules, looks and all other in-game items are a licence to use them in the game. They are not your property, have no value in money, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be sold or traded outside the game.
- Real money only ever buys looks and convenience, never combat power. There are no loot boxes and no paid games of chance.
- We may change prices, balance and what items do, as long as you keep the item you paid for or get something of equal value.
- Purchases are final once the item is delivered, except where the law gives you a right to withdraw or a refund. Because digital items are delivered immediately, you agree when buying that your right of withdrawal ends at delivery, as the law allows. If something went wrong, contact us: we will look at it fairly.
5. Play fair
Not allowed: cheating, bots or tools that play for you, exploiting bugs, attacking or overloading our servers, reverse engineering to cheat, harassment, hate, threats, spam, scams, impersonating others, and offensive names. Report bugs instead of using them.
6. What we may do
- When someone breaks these rules we may give a warning, remove items or progress gained by cheating, mute chat, or suspend or close the account. In serious cases we can act at once; otherwise we explain why.
- If you think we got it wrong, contact us and we will look at it again.
7. What you make and share
Names, chat messages and replays you share must follow these rules. You keep the rights to what you write, and you allow us to show it in the game and its services as far as needed to run them. Streamers may stream and publish videos of Tank Tyrant, also with money from their channel.
8. The game and our rights
The game, its art, music, code and name belong to us or our licensors. You get a personal, non-exclusive right to play it. Do not copy, sell or redistribute the game or its files.
9. Changes and ending the service
- We may update the game and these terms. For important changes we tell players in the game or on Discord before they apply.
- If we ever stop Tank Tyrant, we announce it at least 60 days before and stop selling Tyrium in that time.
10. Liability
- We do our best, but we provide the game as it is, especially during the alpha and beta. We cannot promise that it is always available or free of errors.
- As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage or lost profits, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
11. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. If you live in the EU, you keep the protection of the law of your country. Talk to us first; most things can be solved quickly. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, or the court where you live if consumer law says so.
